Why Untangle Together?
I named my practice Untangle Together because life can sometimes leave us feeling tangled in confusion or uncertainty. In therapy, we’ll unravel those knots, increasing awareness and creating new pathways forward that you are passionate about. While therapy is not always a linear process as depicted below, I wanted to share a bit of my approach so you may have an idea of what to expect in working together.
We start by exploring the challenges you face to create a mutual understanding and broadened awareness of relevant factors. We narrow the focus of the problem, clarifying how it manifests in your life. I will be honest about my observations and ask for your honesty as we build trust. Together, we will examine the dilemma: continue with the familiar path that comes at a cost, or strive for a different, meaningful approach. I'll highlight these choices, but you control the pace and decide what's best for you.
We focus on developing clarity around a transformative goal that can significantly enhance major areas of your life—your self-relationship, career, and intimate connections. This goal brings excitement for a previously unimaginable potential, and we work together to get specific about how you want this change to manifest in different areas of your life.
Our efforts to examine barriers and doubts will refine a clear path towards the transformation you desire. We are solidifying what the experience is like for you to act in new ways congruent with your goal. I will do my best to support you with ironing out any unforeseen challenges that may come up until you have the confidence to carry on these changes independent of me.
